Kidsdoor is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting children in Japan to grow in a fair and healthy environment, and helping them enable to have a hope for bright future.
Kids' Door was founded in January 2007, aiming at "Realization of the society in which all children in Japan can have a hope and dream for future", and certified as NPO by the cabinet on October 2009. Kids' Door has been conducting various activities such as free educational support and events for children in Japan. Kids' Door website is offering useful and safe information for children. http://www.kidsdoor.net/kids
In Japan, children are exposed to awful events everyday and the environment surrounding them is getting worse day by day. In addition, there are a number of children suffering unreasonable loss of educational opportunity directly comingfrom such as family breakdown and poverty. To improve such situation, not only children's parents but also corporations, government, NPO, etc., are taking actions with enthusiasm. For instance, they actually set up a website serving to integrated study for children, found science /art museums, conduct various events and competitions and give lectures at schools. The problem is, such information has hardly been reaching each home.
Kidsdoor website was set up to present a lot of information valuable to parents and their children, aiming at becoming a window that connects children and the society. Children learn the social structure, what kinds of occupation exist, and who works for the occupations with what thoughts. We hope that all children develop their plan and dream for their own future through this window.
Our goal is to serve as a basis of developing the society in which children live a happy and healthy life. We encourage other children support activities carried out by government and organizations, and collaborate with one another to solve various problems that stand in the way of children who all should grow up in a hope.
The operation of Kidsdoor is based on a lot of volunteers. We would greatly appreciate your approval with donation and cooperation
In 2009, Kidsdoor launched a project called "Gakubora", now becoming a core program, that leverages student volunteers to support children's learning. While educational expense costs so high in Japan, Gakubora volunteer members are working vigorously to act as a safety net for children who are victims of educational gap resulting from financial gap. Gakubora program has rapidly begun to receive high acclaim recently, and now we have more than 300 student volunteers registered. To make most of their power, we are being urged to raise funds to sustain their activities.
We have also been developing activities in the disaster affected area in Tokoku, focusing especially on educational support. http://kidsdoor-fukko.net/
Anything you could do for children and our activities would be very much appreciated.
